Last but not least, the gameplay video showcases the Scrapland map and while the gameplay mechanics shown here don’t differ from Half Life 2 is any serious way, the team feels that it captures its idea and mood of the wasteland that was cut from the final game. Beach is reminiscent of old Depot entrance levels, while Haven is inspired by prototype wasteland maps from 2002. The levels showcased in the following screenshots are Beach and Haven. According to the developers, most of the Wasteland maps are quite big at their least, they compare in size with Highway 17/Sandtraps levels, but less restricted and drawn-out. The newly released screenshots showcase the Wasteland levels that will be featured in it. Dark Interval will also feature custom maps, new voiced dialogue, new models and textures, all based on Valve’s early concepts. Again it was not a campaign such as Yama or Cold Stream that I'd play more than once or twice with friends but it is worth a run through. The Dark Interval Team has released some new screenshots and a gameplay video for its upcoming restoration/revision mod that lets you play Half-Life 2 the way it was originally meant to be, Dark Interval. The bots had all picked up rifles and engaged any leakers or close in targets. I covered the approaches (only two to deal with) and sniped the specials and hordes. With Robert Guillaume, Robert Culp, Louis Gossett Jr., Michelle Forbes. After the first two tanks were dropped I moved up the ramp to the railroad tracks. Half-Life 2: Episode One: Directed by Robin Walker.

I stayed centered up in the open so I could engage hordes and tanks with my Sniper Rifle. Finale is straight forward I took all the gas cans and set these up along probable routes for hordes to come from. Tunnels and the structures are more compact so I used a Melee weapon in those. This is a issue that a lot of maps have when the settings are more rural or along roads. Maps have a lot of ground to cover and open areas allow you to engage hordes at stand off distances. No navigation issues noted with Bots (I always try new maps on solo). This is an average campaign (I'd give it a "C" or the 3 stars).
